Monitor Your Student's Grades

Open your Web Browser to: http://ps.cbcsd.org/public

The ability to monitor your student’s grades, attendance and assignment information can

be securely viewed from PowerSchool Parent Viewer.  This secured access requires

that you create a parent account and link student to your account by following these

directions provided on the reverse side of the letter sent to you this week.  In the upper

right hand corner of the directions you will find a label with your student’s name,

Web ID (or Access ID) and Web (or Access) Password.

From the “Grades and Attendance” screen you can click on any of the grades showing

for each teacher, and you will then see a list of assignments and grade for the

assignment.

T1  = Current Trimester grade

P1  = Performance

R1  = Practice

W1 = Performance and Practice Final Grade

E1  = Exam grade

You can click on the assignment for a description.

You can also click on the number showing under Absences or Tardies to see a list of

dates your student was absent or tardy.  The Attendance Totals count by each period

of each day.

Check other options available under “Navigation” on the left side of the screen.

If you have any questions please contact your student’s independent reading teacher

or call the school at 712-328-6476.

HOW TO REQUEST SUPPLEMENTAL EDUCATIONAL SERVICES:
We will also offer supplemental education services, such as tutoring before or after

school, for eligible students. Research from the federal government has shown that

students who participated in supplemental educational services made significant

gains in student achievement, and students who participated in multiple years did

even better. A list of approved service providers is was previously mailed and is posted

below. If you have questions about whether your student is eligible, or about which

service might best meet the needs of your child, contact Julie Smith at 712-328-4689

x 326. The district is not required to provide transportation to off-site supplemental

educational service locations. Transportation to these sites will be the responsibility

of the parent. Enrollment form is due by September 13, 2010

Principal's Welcome

Welcome to the Woodrow Wilson Middle

School’s web page.  Woodrow Wilson was

built in 1961 and was home to 7th, 8th, and

9th grade students.  Over the years many

changes occurred including, the implementation of the middle school teaming philosophy, the school renovation from 1996-1998,the changing of the mascot, and the additionof the 6th grade to become a three year middle school.

As we continue to work toward our goal

of becoming a “Blue Ribbon” Educational

Institution, we are focusing on providing

Wilson students the highest quality

educational experiences through, outstanding and caring teachers, quality classroom instruction, enhanced technology in all curriculum areas, along with a wide

array of before and after school activities

designed to help our young people develop

into outstanding students and more

importantly outstanding citizens.

I am very proud of our accomplishments

in the past and look forward to continued success.
