Hello, Jacket wrestling fans! The 2011-2012 wrestling season is upon us and there is a lot of excitement surrounding the Jacket wrestling program.
After the 2010-2012 season when the wrestling team won two tournaments (1st tournament win in over 20 years), and winning a school record 23 duals, expectations are running high with the wrestlers and the coaches. With a big chunk of the team returning and a bunch of new wrestlers joining the team with a lot of wrestling experience, the coaches are setting the bar even higher than before. One of the big goals for the team this year is bringing back some hardware from the Iowa state wrestling tournament.
With the Jackets competing in the toughest state in wrestling the coaching staff that is working with the team this season is one of the best, if not the best in the state.

There are not very many chances to see the Jackets at home this year (Jan 5th), but you can see them in action other dates in the city. Districts will be hosted by Glenwood this year which is a quick little jaunt down South to see the wrestlers make their goals come true.

Life is a competition;
you compete for girlfriends,
you compete for grades,
you compete for jobs,
you
compete for everything.
Life is about competition,
and it's not going to get any easier
when you leave high
school."
