Friday April 29, 2009 was a night full of record breaking and first place
finishes by the Kirn Girls Track Team. Overall the Girls team placed first
among 5 local area schools. New school records were broken in the 100 meter
dash and in the 4x200 relay. Peyton Holman broke the current school record
in the 100 meter dash with a time of 12:52. Emerald Santon, Lexie Nadler,
Delaney Bolton, and Kelsie Drake now hold the current record in the 4x200
relay with a time of 2:01:8. First place finishes were also earned by Ali
Heithoff in both the 800 and 1500, Peyton Holman in the 200, and Olivia
Leisinger in the shot and discus. The girls 4x100 relay consisting of Kelsie
Drake, Taylor Volentine, Jordan Hyde, and Peyton Holman also scored a first
place finish. The girls are looking forward to upcoming meets at Tri Center,
as well as city and conference meets. Girls Kirn Track team is coached
by Head Coach Mike Addison, Assistants Chad Schaa and Jen Wiles.
