Dear Carter Lake Students, Parents, and Friends,
Welcome to the new school year! We want you to know that we believe you are our partner in educating your child. We will continue to give all students the best learning experiences possible. Together, we will work to develop an educational program, centered on your child’s needs, that offers the maximum opportunity for growth. Any support you can offer which will help reinforce the skills that are taught in school will be greatly appreciated. If you have questions, concerns, or suggestions at anytime please feel free to contact your child’s teacher, or any member of the staff.

We are eager to begin the school year and welcome all students back for another exciting and productive school year. Please make a note on your daily schedule that students will arrive at school at 8:35 am in the morning. We will dismiss at 3:35 Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. On Mondays we will dismiss at 1:55 pm for staff development.

There is a very talented and dedicated staff at Carter Lake which is devoted to maintaining high academic standards, while helping each child work toward his or her highest potential. I know that together we will make a difference in the life of your child.

Please become involved with your child(ren)’s school and let him/her know how much their education means to you. We have an active PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) and hope that you will consider becoming a part of this special parent support group. If the staff or I can be of service to you at any time please call 712-347-5876.

Sincerely,

Bill Huggett
Principal
