Boolean Searches

A mathematician, George Boole, developed Boolean searches.  By using logic operators-or, and, not-when searching, you can create a relationship between keywords and phrases that best define and limit your search.
Keyword searches are searches for a subject using a computerized source, by entering synonyms, related terms, proper terms, proper names, plurals or variant spellings to locate resources or information.
