VIII. BOARD'S REPORT
Marvin Arnpriester referenced the following:· Urban Education Network Executive Committee to search for new director.
· Urban Education Network Legislative Committee
· Requested that the Board move the July meeting to July 19th - and the Board agreed.Melanie Bates thanked all retiring teachers and encouraged graduates to pursue careers in teaching.
Bobbette Behrens attended the military staff welcoming home event.
IX. SUPERINTENDENT'S REPORT
Dr. Richard H. Christie, Superintendent of Schools referenced the retirement of Lenny Faraci, Principal at Bloomer Elementary School and announced the intent to advertise for an Administrative Intern and mentioned this would require some movement among building administrators.
X. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION
(This is an opportunity for members of the public to address the Board regarding agenda items or other matters of concern.)Janine Headen addressed the Board.
Joyce Farrington addressed the Board.
XI. STUDENT TRANSPORTATION SERVICES BID PERFORMANCE BOND

XII. 2005-2006 ADMINISTRATORS' COMPENSATION PACKAGE
A. PresentationPresentation was given by Janet Reiners, Interim Director of Personnel.B. BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Directors of the Council Bluffs Community School District approves a 4.7% package (including salary increases and annuity and insurance increases) for administrative personnel and authorizes the Superintendent to distribute the salary component of the package.

XIII. SUPERINTENDENT'S CONTRACT

1. BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Directors of the Council Bluffs Community School District approves an employment contract with Richard H. Christie commencing on July 1, 2005 and continuing through June 30, 2008.Moved by Melanie Bates :Seconded by Mark McGee
Voting in Favor: Mark McGee, Marvin Arnpriester, Melanie Bates, Mark Brandenburg, Dave Coziahr, Gina Malloy and Bobbette Behrens.2. BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Directors of the Council Bluffs Community School District approves a 4.7% compensation package for school year 2005-2006. The following modifications will be made on the employment contract:
a. A base salary of $141,221
b. Move family health insurance from PPO1 to PPO2 and add the premium differential to the base salary.
c. Change the following contract sections:1. Section 5(h) to read: "Should the Superintendent request and be granted a release prior to June 30 of current year, the annuity will be prorated."
2. In Section 11, drop the reference to graduate studies and add language that states, "The Superintendent, with the prior approval of the Board President, shall be allowed time to serve as an adjunct professor for no more than one class per semester or summer session."Moved by Gina Malloy : Seconded by Melanie Bates

XIV. CONSENT ITEMS
BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education approves the following consent items:A. Approves the attached class lists for the 2005 graduates of Thomas Jefferson High School, Abraham Lincoln High School, and Kanesville High School. These lists supplant the tentative lists approved in May. (Pages 5-13)
B. Grants a diploma of graduation to Amanda Marie Jones and Josephine Franco (Melanie Shellberg, Principal of Abraham Lincoln High School, has certified to the Superintendent of Schools that these students have completed all requirements for graduation.)
C. Approves the renewal of membership with the Iowa Association of School Boards for 2005-2006. Dues for 2005-2006 total $8,212.
