1. CALL TO ORDER

The meeting was called to order by President Marvin Arnpriester at 6:15 p.m.

Members Present:  Bobbette Behrens, Francis Clark, Marilyn Heider (6:20 p.m.), Dave Strom (6:40 p.m.) and Marvin Arnpriester.
Members Absent:  Randy Ewing and Mark Peterson

V. APPROVAL OF MINUTES

BE IT RESOLVED that the minutes of the regular meeting of November 12, 2001, and the board orientation of November 12, 2001, be approved.

BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education approves the following consent items:

A. Approves the Special Education Placements as presented on Page 5.

B. Approves the following changes to the 2001-2002 Board Meeting Schedule:

December 2001 Meetings

December 10 – Work Session only
December 17 – Regular Board Meeting

May  2002 Meetings

May 20 (One meeting due to graduations and Memorial Day)

C. Approves the Psychiatric Services Agreement with Alegent Health - Bergan Mercy Health System d/b/a Alegent Health - Mercy Hospital as presented.

D. Approves the following appointment to the Instructional Committee:

Community Members: Kevin Brown

E.  Approves the following appointment to the Facilities Committee:

Community Member: Ron Tekippe

F. Approves the completion and final payment of the Edison Elementary School Electrical Service Renovation Project.  As per Chapter 573 of the Code of Iowa, the final retainage will be paid at the end of thirty days if there are no claims on file.

G. Approves the Board’s Collective Bargaining Team as follows:
